Christmas 2024 Year in Review

Christmas 2024 Letter

I’m not sure if it’s the calendar with only three weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas or if it’s the mid-forties phase of life feeling spread thin, but we’re way behind and it seems like the whole year flew by.

Blake continues to love running and this year decided he likes cross country better than track.   When asked why, he states that cross country it feels like you’re going someplace and in track it feels like you’re running in circles.   What he seems to love the absolute most is playing online games with his buddies from school.

Leslie continues to play goalie for the school field hockey team and this year enjoyed having her own gear!  It’s an amazing transformation to watch her gear up for a game.   She’s played basketball and lacrosse this year too.  We often find her in an artistic endeavor, chatting with her friends about the best skincare and beauty products or outside on the tree swing.

Drew continues to work for Wells Fargo from home and lead countless scouting activities.  He has a love/hate relationship with living on a large property- every time the wind blows we brace for limbs to fall and pray the power doesn’t go out.

Krista continues to enjoy leading the Kentucky UnitedHealthcare Community Plan team.   When not working or supporting the kids activities you can find Krista on her Peloton and in the summer months swimming.   Year-round she’s been finding more time to read.

Bowie dog continues to think it’s his job to ensure no animals large or small get too close to the house.   The deer just stare at him while the chipmunks actively taunt him.   He’s also the family timekeeper alerting us to when it’s time for his walk or a meal.

Here’s a glimpse by quarter of highlights of the year-
